Profhilo is a revolutionary skin remodelling treatment which tightens, smooths, hydrates, lifts and plumps, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, giving the skin a radiant glow.
Containing one of the highest concentrations of Hyaluronic acid on the market, this treatment is known as the 'injectable moisturiser'. Unlike dermal fillers which are also made from Hyaluronic acid, this product is not used to add volume or definition.
Profhilo is most commonly used for facial areas, but can also be used to rejuvenate the neck or decollete.
This treatment works by slowly releasing Hyaluronic acid, stimulating the bodies own production of collagen and elastin. This can help to combat the signs of ageing, such as skin laxity, fine lines and wrinkles and can also help improve the appearance of dry and dehydrated skin.
Profhilo involves 2 treatments, 4 weeks apart, with results lasting up to 6 months. A further session is normally required after this to prolong your results.

Will I be suitable for Profhilo
Profhilo is a skin remodelling treatment suitable for patients of all ages and is especially popular with patients over 30.
If you are not happy with your skin laxity, have crepey or thin skin as well as other visible signs of ageing such as fine lines and wrinkles, you could be suitable for Profhilo.
What does the treatment involve?
Profhilo works in a course of 2 treatments administered 4 weeks apart.
Only 5 injection points are necessary on each side of the face.
Does the treatment hurt?
Profhilo is injected just underneath the skin using very fine needles, so it is relatively painless.
You may feel a short sting or scratch, but this will be very brief.
Is there any downtime?
There is no downtime with Profhilo. However it is advisable to avoid alcohol, and anti-inflammatory medication in the 24 hours prior to treatment.
Immediately afterwards it is important to avoid wearing makeup, strenuous exercise, swimming, sun exposure, steam rooms and saunas for at least 24 hours.
Are there any risks or side effects?
Profhilo is made up from concentrated Hyaluronic Acid, which occurs naturally within our bodies, making the risk of any allergic reaction extremely rare.
Some redness, slight bruising, tenderness and possible itching at the injection sites may occur, but these should all subside within 48 hours.
How long do results from Profhilo usually last?
Results from Profhilo can last anything from 6-12 months, depending on your individual metabolism of the product.
We invite patients to return for a single maintenance treatment every 3-5 months to keep the skin in perfect condition.
