Tear Trough Rejuvenation

Smoothing and Refreshing under-eye hollows

The under-eye area is one of the most delicate parts of the face and often the first to start to show signs of ageing. As we get older the natural loss of collagen and fat can cause  hollowness to develop in the tear troughs, creating shadows and dark circles that leave you looking tired, even when well-rested. For some, this can begin ad early as their 20's due to genetics, lifestyle or natural facial structure.

Tear Trough filler is an effective, non-surgical solution deisgned to restore lost volume, smooth under-eye hollows and reduce the appearance of dark circles. Using a small amount of premium, hyaluronic acid dermal filler, this treatment subtly plumps the area, improving skin texture and brightness while maintaining an natural, refreshed look.

At our Norwich clinic this treatment is safely administered using a blunt-tipped cannula, for precision, safety and minimal discomfort. The results are immediate, with effects lasting between 6-18 months, leaving you with naturally rejuvented under-eyes and restored confidence.

FAQs

How do I know if this treatment will benefit me?

We advise having an initial consultation to assess your suitability for Tear Trough Rejuvenation. Tear Trough filler works to add volume and improve under-eye hollowness.
You might be an ideal candidate for this treatment if you have hollowness, mild or moderate sagging under the eyes and have healthy thick skin.
Those with thin skin, excess skin or excess fat under the eyes may be recommended Polynucleotide Eye Rejuvenation.

Is it painful?

We take the utmost care to make the procedure as pain-free as possible.
For patient safety and added comfort Tear Trough Rejuvenation is administered using a blunt cannula and involves just one incision with a needle on each side.
As well as applying a numbing cream before treatment, we use dermal fillers containing lidocaine, which also helps to numb the area further during the procedure.

How much filler do i need?

The standard amount of dermal filler used for this treatment is a maximum of 1ml (0.5ml each side). However, the under-eye area is extremely delicate and extra care must be taken not to overfill.
Your technician will administer the safest amount of filler to achieve a natural looking, well-rested appearance.
Depending on personal anatomy repeat treatments may be necessary to achieve your desired results.

How can I reduce the risk of bruising and swelling?

Swelling, redness, tenderness and bruising are all normal after this treatment and can differ individually.
Swelling is normally at its worst the evening of and morning after your treatment, but should ease within a few days. However, the healing process can take up to 2 weeks for swelling and bruising to fully subside.
If you wish to reduce the possibility of and ease swelling we advise patients to start taking antihistamines, and arnica tablets to lower the risk of bruising in the lead up to their appointment.
